In this episode, five kids from Storyland had a roundtable discussion over the picture book I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen.
Each kid expressed their opinions about whether it was fair for the bear to eat the rabbit for stealing the hat and if there were other ways he could have got his hat back. At the end of the discussion, they also recalled some unfair punishments in their lives.
Jon talked to Storyland podcast in September. He shared with us what his creative outlets were when he was little, how he finds balance between his creative strengths and weaknesses, the importance of exploring creativity within boundaries and why children should feel their works count right now.
